The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesus Carvallo during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Simon Wray's 潘铮渊 broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 潘铮渊 in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateo Leguizamo got free with 何诚明 in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abram Luque's late challenge caught a Simon Wray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abram Luque helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20thth minute of the game 潘铮渊 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Simon Wray booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 潘铮渊 hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, 蒋宇西 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 江帆景 made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by 傅建思. After 46 minutes, 潘铮渊 made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 89th minute, Simon Wray's 白博宇 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 蒋宇西 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 潘铮渊, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th match minute, Simon Wray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 蒋宇西 to maneuver through the defense.
