Jakob Lundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jax Williamson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carter George in the 9th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Bolo Skjold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes Protegéerna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Koby Wright who took care of the corner kick. Canada's Alfred John was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bolo Skjold in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Alfred John in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Protegéerna's Xu Yi Chong. Bolo Skjold was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rohan Watson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Petter Skarkman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canada's Jax Williamson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Protegéerna's Bolo Skjold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rohan Watson in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 27th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Bolo Skjold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Canada defense, Petter Skarkman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jax Williamson. The Canada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jax Williamson should have stopped the shot. Canada's Luka Harris managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arman Lingren in the 33 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jan Dixon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canada's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Dixon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bolo Skjold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Protegéerna's Bolo Skjold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Mccarthy in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Protegéerna's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 60th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Demesio to maneuver through the defense. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Skarkman in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jax Williamson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Protegéerna made a substitution. Guido Python replaced Jakob Lundin. Canada's Theo Burton was substituted for Rohan Watson. The audience was convinced that Filip Edwards's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bolo Skjold was relentless in the 75th minute of the game.
