Wara's Elias Urdaspal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 38th minute of play. A hard shot 39 in the game by Larkins Potter from a close distance when the talented Thiago Pliego managed to make a qualified save. Chile's players were relieved. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Felix Garrido hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Larkins Potter was the one to do the kick off. Mariano Lacasas short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Elias Urdaspal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Wara's Elias Urdaspal got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larkins Potter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Wara throughout the match.
