Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Baumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Zuberbühler FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macos Graciani didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 26th minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zuberbühler FC's Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Florentino Lastur tried to sneak it across the goal line. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mexico's much stronger midfield.
