Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Classon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Christian Sancho made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Karlsborg's Gert Lund. In the 19th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Vikström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Edmundo Espiga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Karlsborg's Aron Vikström did a great save. In the 23rdth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karlsborg's Aron Vikström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karlsborg's goalkeeper Aron Vikström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Esteban Carvallo at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Karlsborg. 1-1. After having played for 43 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Classon to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Karlsborg's Aron Vikström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aron Vikström was a little too slow when Edmundo Espiga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-4. Aron Vikström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Aron Vikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Espinar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Vikström having to interfere. Karlsborg's Aron Vikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Vikström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aron Vikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
