When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Gustaw Fafinski in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustaw Fafinski. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gustaw Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A the free kick. The supporters of KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute of the match Stig Rødal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Stig Rødal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th minute, one of KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A. Gustaw Fafinski went to the wrong direction when Tomas Illescas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 94th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
