Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 5th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Iosif Chitila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Chitila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Zglobiu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 14 minutes of play, Wolves Academy's Eliodor Balaci made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emilian Stoiculescu's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilian Stoiculescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Emilian Stoiculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wolves Academy's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iosif Chitila came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 38 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wolves Academy the free kick. Wolves Academy's Iosif Chitila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Ernest Albu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Eliodor Balaci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Eliodor Balaci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliodor Balaci struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolves Academy. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a Wolves Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Wolves Academy getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Eliodor Balaci hit a great ball. Eliodor Balaci kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliodor Balaci in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Wolves Academy booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernest Albu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Iosif Chitila in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gabriel Logofătu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iosif Chitila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Nichifor Hurezan's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Hurezan helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Wolves Academy got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Hurezan. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Iosif Chitila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliodor Balaci during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Wolves Academy players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
