In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind 天下常熟's goalkeeper 吕洋鹏, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of 吕洋鹏. 天下常熟's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. It was 洪政阳 who took care of the corner kick. 27 minutes into the match, 天下常熟's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but 吕洋鹏 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 梅宇卫 in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patric Linqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patric Linqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. If Patric Linqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Patric Linqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 天下常熟's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patric Linqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 天下常熟's 吕洋鹏 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 梅宇卫 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patric Linqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 吕洋鹏 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Alberto Tafalla put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of 吕洋鹏. 56 minutes into the match, 天下常熟's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but 吕洋鹏 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 吕洋鹏 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 天下常熟's 吕洋鹏 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 60th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 吕洋鹏 saved 天下常熟 from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 60th minute of play forced 天下常熟's goalkeeper 吕洋鹏 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Luca Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, 天下常熟's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but 吕洋鹏 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to 天下常熟 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. 高益霆 hit a great ball. If 梅宇卫 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes, Joel Gaona made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. 天下常熟's 吕洋鹏 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, 天下常熟's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but 吕洋鹏 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the 天下常熟 defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 吕洋鹏. The 天下常熟 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 吕洋鹏 should have stopped the shot. 吕洋鹏 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 吕洋鹏 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 吕洋鹏 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 93rd minute of play. 洪政阳 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
