Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. In the 15th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. When Oscar Näfver came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Terra Scaniae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Näfver couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Gunnarsson in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Terra Scaniae were awarded a corner. Anders Lingren went to the cornerflag to take it. Staffan Fribäck made a great header on Terra Scaniae's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Terra Scaniae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Hedling didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Näfver struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terra Scaniae. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Kent Gunnarsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
