Jonathan Venegas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Azulgranas's Łukasz Fabiański managed to reach the ball for a save. Inocencio Tarresola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play forced Azulgranas's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Azulgranas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marco Zust in the 33rd minute. After taking down the ball on Azulgranas's corner Marco Zust fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Zust in the 39th minute of play. The Azulgranas fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Azulgranas's Sánchez Castruita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice moves Sánchez Castruita could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the game, Inocencio Tarresola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Marco Zust managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azulgranas's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Zust was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sánchez Castruita in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Sánchez Castruita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Azulgranas made a substitution. Victoriano Movilla replaced Sánchez Castruita. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Łukasz Fabiański tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Berrios in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas's Cesar Tartales got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Berrios's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Berrios in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Azulgranas's Francisco Berrios. But to his dismay, Francisco Berrios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0.
