İlmi Birsel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gaos during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yunus Canver in the 88th minute of the match. If Yunus Canver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 played minutes, Göpsen FC's Bengt Fredriksson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Göpsen FC reached it. Göpsen FC played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
