In the 25th minute Rupert Valencia suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of Las Lomas Las booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romon Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Finlay Stair scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paul Montoya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian McCall in the 32nd minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarell Hill took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Montoya. Paul Montoya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 37 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Leron Sale. Paul Montoya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finlay Stair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Bergman in the 40th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Bergman in the 42nd minute of play. During the 42nd minute of the match Romon Oliver completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Romon Oliver a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 43 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Romon Oliver. Filiberto Bergman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Demonde Jacobson came out and tried to block the shot, but Filiberto Bergman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 45th minute. After the first half Jamaica were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Las Lomas Las getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Benny Brown hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Finlay Stair sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Las Lomas Las's Paul Montoya didn't even have to move. Finlay Stair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Paul Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Las Lomas Las's Filiberto Bergman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demonde Jacobson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 61st match minute, Las Lomas Las was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Brown to maneuver through the defense. Paul Montoya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kordal Duff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Finlay Stair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Montoya having to interfere. Paul Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finlay Stair in the 73rd minute of the match. Jamaica's Kordal Duff got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarell Hill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Karlus Waugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karlus Waugh struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Paul Montoya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian McCall in the 90th minute of the match. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yong Aldridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Bergman in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Yong Aldridge came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
