FC Union Weberei's Nino Forster was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Nico Gruenewald dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Lindo Kran got a throw-in 19 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felix Pierucci. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by 1. FC Union Weberei's Casimir Wickihalter. But to his dismay, Casimir Wickihalter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1. FC Union Weberei's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heiner Studer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurice Weber charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurice Weber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Maurice Weber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimir Wickihalter in the 60th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Owain Wollenmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Heiner Studer made a huge save. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lindo Kran in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Heiner Studer in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute Felix Pierucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute 1. FC Union Weberei were awarded a corner. Nino Forster went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nico Gruenewald managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1.
