In the 16th minute Zafer Musa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Cumali Neşat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cumali Neşat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cumali Neşat. In the 29th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Hazer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cumali Neşat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cumali Neşat in the 60th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's Bora Hazer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 77th minute of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 92 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leoz. In the 94th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
