In the 11th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. PLUMAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Venezuela's Jose Correa to fire away a dangerous shot which Anibal Jurgi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Patrick Linares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, PLUMAS's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Anibal Jurgi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Jon in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Patrick Linares was slow to take the kick. During this time PLUMAS's players had a chance to rest. Domingo Blai's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingo Blai helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when PLUMAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Eduardo Gomez made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anibal Jurgi. In the 63rd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 minutes PLUMAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Bartolo Berart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Anibal Jurgi made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. PLUMAS made a substitution. Rogelio Claus replaced Everardo Rio. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Anibal Jurgi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 79 minutes, Urbano Benvido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PLUMAS and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Benvido, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
