In the 17th minute, Cats and dogs's Felix Emmanuel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Felix Emmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sam Yilmaz's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sam Yilmaz helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador made a substitution. Luz Palacio replaced Daniel Zorita. After 25 played minutes Cats and dogs got a freekick which was hit by Sam Yilmaz. 26 minutes into the match, Cats and dogs's Nicolas Hamard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A throw-in in the 29th minute of the game was made by Luis Andino with Cristian Sancho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 32nd minute Luz Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Camp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Joe Camp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joe Camp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Emmanuel. Joe Camp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Palacio in the 46th minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luz Palacio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joe Camp was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After 51 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. In the 52nd minute Felix Emmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cristian Sancho. If Luz Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Camp having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Emmanuel in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Cats and dogs made a substitution. Gaétan Bouchard replaced Felix Emmanuel. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Hamard in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaétan Bouchard, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Hamard in the 85th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Joe Camp made a huge save. 88 minutes into the match, Luz Palacio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joe Camp, 2-3. Joe Camp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Palacio in the 94th minute. Gaétan Bouchard charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaétan Bouchard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Gaétan Bouchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
