After some careless play in the Sletteenge defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerhart Krainert. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th match minute, Sletteenge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Weye to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerhart Krainert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wagn Nytoft in the 13th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Fritz Grauholt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerhart Krainert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerhart Krainert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Wilhelm Blegvad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fritz Grauholt got free with Julio Vera in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 27 minutes, Fritz Grauholt made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Gerhart Krainert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerhart Krainert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sletteenge's supporters rose to their feet, but Fritz Grauholt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Fritz Grauholt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Gerhart Krainert despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
