Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montrell Harrell having to interfere. Francisco Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Gerardo Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Hagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Chaime's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Primitivo Chaime really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
