Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francis Calmes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francis Calmes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Barnaba Lamczyk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Lamczyk came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zachary Pankowski struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ekipa Gabi. In the 38th minute, Barnaba Lamczyk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Francis Calmes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Barnaba Lamczyk succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Ekipa Gabi's Barnaba Lamczyk got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Francis Calmes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Sebastián Puig's late challenge caught a Ekipa Gabi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Sebastián Puig helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ekipa Gabi booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Barnaba Lamczyk made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Francis Calmes made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francis Calmes quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Francis Calmes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zachary Pankowski went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ekipa Gabi could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
