With an all-out effort, Canada's Jean-Louis Van Bever threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jan Dixon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Canada's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cosmin Contra was slow to take the kick. During this time KFC Cromvelde's players had a chance to rest. The corner led KFC Cromvelde's Cosmin Contra to fire away a dangerous shot which Jax Williamson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Dixon in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Louis Van Bever saved KFC Cromvelde from getting behind. After some careless play in the Canada defense, Mathijs Rokeloos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jax Williamson. The Canada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jax Williamson should have stopped the shot. Jean-Louis Van Bever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Dixon, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a little luck, KFC Cromvelde's Jean-Louis Van Bever got control of the ball when Jan Dixon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Dixon got free with Jean-Louis Van Bever in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute, Koby Wright got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Richard Mccarthy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half KFC Cromvelde were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathijs Rokeloos made a kick off. Jan Dixon ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Luka Harris at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of KFC Cromvelde. 1-3. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mccarthy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 93rd minute of play forced KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Jean-Louis Van Bever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Dixon in the 94th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of KFC Cromvelde's goalie and right to Filip Edwards. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. KFC Cromvelde's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. KFC Cromvelde's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
