The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Diamantino Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 16th minute of the match. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Andrei Alexandrescu scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 1-0. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrei Alexandrescu's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute, Gerardo Pozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diamantino Lobo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mariano Lacasa scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino Lobo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Felix Garrido. The FC Acatar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-2.

If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Diamantino Lobo however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 56th minute of play forced FC Acatar's goalkeeper Diamantino Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Andrei Alexandrescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Lobo saved FC Acatar from getting behind. Diamantino Lobo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 82nd minute.
