CA Portugália's Rogério Soberano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, CA Portugália's Thiago Senna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 28 played minutes CA Portugália got a freekick which was hit by Gu Xiang Zhou. 30 minutes into the game, Alan Tamayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Portugália the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Chile:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CA Portugália:s goal. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Soberano.
