With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Leopoldo das Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aleksey Goldshtein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, JK raamatuid.ee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Zonta to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksey Goldshtein having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to JK raamatuid.ee getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Eimar Rank hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aleksey Goldshtein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aleksey Goldshtein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 69th minute of play forced JK raamatuid.ee's goalkeeper Aleksey Goldshtein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aleksey Goldshtein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, JK raamatuid.ee's Enno Lokko got a free kick in the 77th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Aleksey Goldshtein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Enno Lokko came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Knopek, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than JK raamatuid.ee.
