In the 6th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Baldovinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of play forced The North Face's goalkeeper Basarab Baldovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Camilo Gaos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basarab Baldovinescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 19 played minutes The North Face got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Vidican. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Basarab Baldovinescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by 曹森适 in the 31st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Zula Kazczyk. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 32 minutes into the match, The North Face's Zula Kazczyk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The North Face made a substitution. Tiberiu Măcriș replaced Zula Kazczyk. 33 minutes into the game, one of The North Face:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Basarab Baldovinescu had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 曹森适 in the 38th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basarab Baldovinescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 曹森适 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Basarab Baldovinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 45th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, The North Face's Tiberiu Măcriș got a free kick in the 51st minute. 57 minutes into the match, Ioan Andone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ioan Andone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 63 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 曹森适 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match The North Face got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mugurel Bleoancă ran over to the corner to take the kick. The North Face's Mugurel Bleoancă was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 68 minutes, Ioan Andone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The North Face's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Andone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when The North Face was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Vidican didn't get a good kick on the ball. 曹森适 might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 曹森适 ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the game, 曹森适 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Munita, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
