Hüseyin Cahit Özerdem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play forced ÇiçekFc's goalkeeper Zekai Poyraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zekai Poyraz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The ÇiçekFc players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
