An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Colas in the 22nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jose Gipuzkoa in the 25th minute. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 45th minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Emilio Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Gipuzkoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Damian Su made the kick off in the second half. Emilio Munio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilio Munio. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 58 minutes into the game, Colombia's Santino Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilio Munio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Damian Su recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Javier Milei was substituted for Teodosio Bilintx. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos made a substitution. Kraig Rowley replaced Federico Colas. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kraig Rowley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Navarro charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Navarro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. In the 78th minute Luis Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Kraig Rowley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Kraig Rowley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes into the game, Kraig Rowley threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Pascual Carballar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A hard shot 96 in the game by Ignacio Mastache from a close distance when the talented Emilio Munio managed to make a qualified save. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's players were relieved.
