Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Moulay Faudel kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play forced Kashima Antlers's goalkeeper Fawzi Ramdane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fawzi Ramdane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes Kashima Antlers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montenegro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moulay Faudel in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play forced Kashima Antlers's goalkeeper Fawzi Ramdane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nolan Morvan kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fawzi Ramdane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Ramdane having to interfere. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Moulay Faudel came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fawzi Ramdane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Fawzi Ramdane made a huge save. After 60 minutes, Bouzid Liegeon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kashima Antlers and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kashima Antlers getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Bouzid Liegeon hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes Kashima Antlers got a freekick which was hit by Bouzid Liegeon. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Lili Cavalli scored 3-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lili Cavalli in the 75th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kashima Antlers's Fawzi Ramdane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Kashima Antlers from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lili Cavalli in the 78th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fawzi Ramdane. 88 minutes into the game, Kashima Antlers's Lili Cavalli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Kashima Antlers's Lili Cavalli got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lili Cavalli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
