Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Jurgi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. PLUMAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Agustín Saelices managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Gomez's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everardo Rio got free with Julio Vera in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Jurgi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play forced PLUMAS's goalkeeper Anibal Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Anibal Jurgi. PLUMAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Jurgi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play forced PLUMAS's goalkeeper Anibal Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PLUMAS's Eduardo Gomez got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Gomez came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Anibal Jurgi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Bartolo Berart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PLUMAS made a substitution. Urbano Benvido replaced Eduardo Gomez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play forced PLUMAS's goalkeeper Anibal Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anibal Jurgi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. Anibal Jurgi made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PLUMAS made a substitution. Rogelio Claus replaced Everardo Rio. Leonides Manuelo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Berart in the 87th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Jurgi made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Anibal Jurgi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 94th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Benvido in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PLUMAS throughout the match.
