Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Durvalino Soeiro got the match started through his kick off. In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauã Domingues came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cauã Domingues having to make a save. In the 31st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After 32 played minutes Daniel Zorita shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for SANTOS F.C's Cauã Domingues to catch but Daniel Zorita was lucky. It became 0-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play forced SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Cauã Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SANTOS F.C's Dalmo Cerezo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Dalmo Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play forced SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Cauã Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Cauã Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cauã Domingues was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zorita. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cauã Domingues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by SANTOS F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cauã Domingues in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 62 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cauã Domingues, 0-4. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Soeiro in the 70th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Cauã Domingues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Vinhas in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Cauã Domingues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 84th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SANTOS F.C's Cauã Domingues did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Cauã Domingues in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durvalino Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
