Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wenzel Winter went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute Wenzel Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ye Yan Yu came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Orlando Casaus. But to his dismay, Orlando Casaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cadáveres Voladores's Ye Yan Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a little luck, Cadáveres Voladores's Ye Yan Yu got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The coaching staff of Cadáveres Voladores protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Birger Ståhlman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cadáveres Voladores's Ye Yan Yu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Cadáveres Voladores from getting a goal against them. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ye Yan Yu made a huge save. After some careless play in the Cadáveres Voladores defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ye Yan Yu. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Salazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th match minute, Cadáveres Voladores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Gijselinx to maneuver through the defense. Chile played a much better game than Cadáveres Voladores and deserved their victory. The Cadáveres Voladores players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
