In the 4th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Martinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Eliasson got in the 8th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonathan Ferrant handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Alf Bock made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cao Ting Ting immediately put the ball in play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Eliasson in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Axel Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 22nd minute of play. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Sundens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Sundens BK's Jan-Ove Lindmark tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cao Ting Ting in the 26th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Netto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Axel Martinsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 64th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Axel Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per Eliasson struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sundens BK. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Martinsson having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Eliasson. After 85 minutes, Rigoberto Mina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Sundens BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sundens BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
