Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Diegotxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boukjan Bunt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Boukjan Bunt slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Shi Yang Sha with Boukjan Bunt as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan Bunt in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute Boukjan Bunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Erasmo Diegotxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Shi Yang Sha, made in the 28th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Pěnčík in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play forced Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's goalkeeper Erasmo Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Erasmo Diegotxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Shi Yang Sha in the 39 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 41st minute of play forced Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's goalkeeper Erasmo Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Peru's Luz Tejedor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasmo Diegotxe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mina. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Robert Šedina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Mina was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 96 minutes into the game, Antonio Tenorio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erasmo Diegotxe. Antonio Tenorio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
