Mexico's Alberto Tafalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lionel Paly in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Paly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Pirmin Jäggi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Tory Pryor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Pirmin Jäggi sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 37 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 43rd minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tory Pryor made the kick off in the second half. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Tory Pryor notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 65 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Philipp Santagapita. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 67th minute of play. The corner ended in Alberto Tafalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly did a great save. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pirmin Jäggi, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Lionel Paly. FC Wil 1900's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Wil 1900 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernhard Zollinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
