After 15 played minutes Balus Treter got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Bischoff. Jacob van der Werff's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacob van der Werff helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Jacob van der Werff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gottlieb Hammer in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Balus Treter's Karsten Zielinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gottlieb Hammer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Balus Treter's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Karsten Zielinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karsten Zielinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Karsten Zielinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gottlieb Hammer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Balus Treter's Gottlieb Hammer. But to his dismay, Gottlieb Hammer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Balus Treter's Gottlieb Hammer got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Karsten Zielinski however easily saved by the left post. Balus Treter's Karsten Zielinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Balus Treter from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 93 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Karsten Zielinski managed to make a qualified save. Balus Treter's players were relieved. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Balus Treter had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
