Karsten Zielinski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Balus Treter booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilhelm Trulsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Alberto Tafalla succeeded in the game's 37th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. 40 minutes into the game, Gottlieb Hammer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Gottlieb Hammer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. When Leonardo Leoz fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Leonardo Leoz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gottlieb Hammer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
