In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportkarelclub FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Paraibano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Sportkarelclub FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Ocampo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Florencio Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florencio Mouricio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Veniamin Shashkov's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veniamin Shashkov helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Sportkarelclub FC got a freekick which was hit by Veniamin Shashkov. Damian Lerych came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lautaro Navarro could save by the left post. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Damian Lerych sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 47th minute of play forced Sportkarelclub FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Sportkarelclub FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Veniamin Shashkov hit a great ball. Sportkarelclub FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Sebastian Villa scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Paraibano, making the score, 0-1. 61 minutes into the game, Semen Belkin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Damian Lerych managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportkarelclub FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Lerych was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Marcelo Paraibano in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Damian Lerych had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Lerych was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Christian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Marcelo Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sportkarelclub FC's Marcelo Paraibano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Sportkarelclub FC from getting a goal against them. Damian Lerych scored 3-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honduras's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sportkarelclub FC had won, even though Honduras had held more of the ball.
