Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wehrkirchen the free kick. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Ivan Prats got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Juan Diego Tenorio hit a great ball. Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stanislaw Gniewek in the 30 minute of the game. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Stanislaw Gniewek tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, 史俊云 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gwidon Majczyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Wehrkirchen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachary Bronicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zbyszek Penkalski charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zbyszek Penkalski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. Primitivo Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute, 史俊云 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes of play, Wehrkirchen's 史俊云 made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hector Covarrubias might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norbert Lepper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Covarrubias ran back to his position shaking his head. Norbert Lepper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to Wehrkirchen getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Zachary Bronicki hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
