In the 5th minute Erik Véber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Curcio Alonso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vodka Stars 1949 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Véber in the 10th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Curcio Alonso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Hori in the 13th minute of play forced Vodka Stars 1949's goalkeeper Generoso Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricart Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Vodka Stars 1949's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Doron Bantz took the corner. Vodka Stars 1949's Generoso Beloki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Palmeira in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Eusebio Hori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Ekhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Véber in the 25th minute of play. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Geeraerts in the 27th minute of play. Andres Ekhi made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Curcio Alonso sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi got control of the ball when Curcio Alonso tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusebio Hori made a kick off. If Reinaldo Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vodka Stars 1949 made a substitution. Martin Batalla replaced Erik Véber. Eusebio Hori's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Generoso Beloki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Generoso Beloki came out of the goal and Reinaldo Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Lucas Montaña had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andres Ekhi. Ricart Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Montaña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 92nd minute Curcio Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricart Futebol Clube's Abel Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Ricart Futebol Clube's Abel Ramalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Generoso Beloki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vodka Stars 1949's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
