In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Panfilo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Aristides Panfilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Aristides Panfilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s Segundo Feijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Feijo having to interfere. After 26 played minutes ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫ got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Fraco. Aristides Panfilo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 31st minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Filiberto Oliviero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Filiberto Oliviero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play forced ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s goalkeeper Segundo Feijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Lucas Iraido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 40 played minutes ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫ got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Iraido. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Feijo was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫.
