The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Inter Miami CF getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Inter Miami CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 14th minute. Blas Urtungo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Blas Urtungo scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. After 33 minutes of play, Inter Miami CF's Blas Urtungo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amado Muc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Inter Miami CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Blas Urtungo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Blas Urtungo made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Urtungo in the 51st minute of play. After 52 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enzo Iago who took care of the corner kick. In the 53rd minute Inter Miami CF were awarded a corner. Enzo Iago went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Teo Pacorro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the game, Blas Urtungo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Everardo Enmanuel kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Urtungo in the 71st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute Blas Urtungo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Raúl Riquelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Muc came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Amado Muc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
