After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Leandro Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Leandro Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliberto Oihenarte came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Feliberto Oihenarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, RØSANEGRA's goalkeeper Feliberto Oihenarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Feliberto Oihenarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Proença came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Oihenarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 25th minute. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Oihenarte having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, RØSANEGRA's Leandro Fonseca made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! RØSANEGRA's Feliberto Oihenarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save RØSANEGRA from getting a goal against them. RØSANEGRA's attentive Matheus Pereira managed to snatch the ball when Jaime Cazalla made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Leandro Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. RØSANEGRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of RØSANEGRA booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliberto Oihenarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feliberto Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgílio de Alcântara hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 70th minute of play forced RØSANEGRA's goalkeeper Feliberto Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, RØSANEGRA's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Gisbert came free, but Feliberto Oihenarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Fonseca. When Matheus Pereira fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RØSANEGRA's protests and gave Matheus Pereira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RØSANEGRA getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Matheus Pereira hit a great ball. Douglas Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 89 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of RØSANEGRA's Feliberto Oihenarte. Feliberto Oihenarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Oihenarte having to interfere. Feliberto Oihenarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. If Afonso Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Uruguay had won after a very even match.
