Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Teodoro Guerau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omar Belarmo who took care of the corner kick. ManagerZone Academy's Gatot Sessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after ManagerZone Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Tino came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. ManagerZone Academy's Gatot Sessa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save ManagerZone Academy from getting a goal against them. After having played for 63 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gatot Sessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Gatot Sessa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 71st minute of the match, Cristian Sancho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gatot Sessa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ecuador played a much better game than ManagerZone Academy and deserved their victory. The ManagerZone Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
