In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Delmar Amato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Ortzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Ortzi saved Leproso Juniors from getting behind. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delmar Amato in the 31st minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Piechocki in the 34th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Ortzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Piechocki, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dominik Piechocki made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Leproso Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ernesto Ortzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Leproso Juniors's corner Delmar Amato fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Amato came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match Leproso Juniors got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominik Piechocki in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dominik Piechocki came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Seme, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Leproso Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Lartaun to maneuver through the defense.
