After some careless play in the Colombia defense, 陶翀辰 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Abram Sarmiento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 俞平亦. That made the score 2-2 after 34 minutes of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 陶翀辰, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 俞平亦 having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game.
