Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sixto Richie started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benji Price read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benji Price saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benji Price. Benji Price dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Pascual Caton kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Benji Price made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Hurko in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Newpi Academy's Pascual Caton got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Pernambucano in the 37th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benji Price showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Newpi Academy booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sixto Richie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute, Juninho Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benji Price didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Facundo Cadaval went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Pastor Bento fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newpi Academy's protests and gave Pastor Bento a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Newpi Academy's Pastor Bento got a free kick in the 61st minute. Luca Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benji Price came out and tried to block the shot, but Luca Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 64th minute. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Benji Price made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Benji Price. Newpi Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Benji Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 75th minute of the match Pastor Bento completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pastor Bento a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 75 played minutes Newpi Academy got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Bento. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benji Price came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Benji Price came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. In the 90th match minute, Newpi Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Herena to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benji Price having to make a save. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Newpi Academy throughout the match.
