Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Otsando, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Otsando came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of play. Richard Textex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Cornelio Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tonete in the 46th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Tonete to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Perrando. In the 78th minute, one of Newpi Academy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Newpi Academy. Newpi Academy:s Richard Textex showed great skill when he stopped Joel Gaona:s penalty. In the 80th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Richard Textex. Newpi Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 83rd minute of play forced Newpi Academy's goalkeeper Richard Textex to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th match minute, Newpi Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Otsando to maneuver through the defense.
