Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Michael Haglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 7th minute of play. Fredrik Bennet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredrik Bennet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Miguel Miralles came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Miralles couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Fredrik Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Fredrik Bennet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. A collision led to Samurai getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Mattias Smefeldt hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Olov Bäckström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samurai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. After a rather tough play, Samurai's Olov Bäckström got a free kick in the 36th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samurai's Fredrik Bennet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 45th minute of play. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

In the 52nd minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olov Bäckström hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Smefeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Aaron Barrios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Samurai booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Bäckström in the 66th minute of play. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Miguel Miralles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredrik Bennet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Fredrik Bennet came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When Tomas Berganza fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Tomas Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 83rd minute of play forced Samurai's goalkeeper Fredrik Bennet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredrik Bennet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Fredrik Bennet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Bennet having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Samurai.
