Zikri Umar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, GÖKHAN FK's goalkeeper Zikri Umar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Zikri Umar made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zikri Umar could save by the left post. In the 22nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zikri Umar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play forced GÖKHAN FK's goalkeeper Zikri Umar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zikri Umar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by GÖKHAN FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest.

Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by GÖKHAN FK's Furkan Çakıroğlu. But to his dismay, Furkan Çakıroğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 62nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gaona to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Zikri Umar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in GÖKHAN FK's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zikri Umar came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Zikri Umar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to GÖKHAN FK getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ant Beksan hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, GÖKHAN FK's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Zikri Umar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GÖKHAN FK's Zikri Umar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 84th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla's late challenge caught a GÖKHAN FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Tafalla helped the player get up and apologised. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when GÖKHAN FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gazanfer Ahi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after GÖKHAN FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes, Muammer Bedel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GÖKHAN FK and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Muammer Bedel kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Although Mexico had been in control for most of the match, GÖKHAN FK still came away with the win.
