Club Deportivo Álvarez's Eriberto Enol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Juan Hvalica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Lohitzun. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Miguel Miralles hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Lohitzun got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Miguel Ángel Hvalica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Eriberto Enol in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute Adrian Lohitzun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Hvalica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Enol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1.
