Miliano Riba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miliano Riba in the 12th minute of the match. Barrio Sesamo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leopoldo Otero in the 13th minute. Barrio Sesamo's Leopoldo Otero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stoil Baharov in the 15th minute of the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anxo Cerreri having to interfere. In the 27th minute Stoil Baharov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Anxo Cerreri in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurino Marcos in the 45th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Reynaldo Uria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anxo Cerreri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miliano Riba to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Maurino Marcos took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 57th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Anxo Cerreri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Miliano Riba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Maurino Marcos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Miliano Riba sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miliano Riba. The supporters of Barrio Sesamo booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 84th minute. Anxo Cerreri came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 93rd minute, Iván Portillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5.
